[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The project Silicon <\/span>Eurocluster<\/span>, <\/span>which brought together 10 European clusters, ended in February 2<\/span>025 after 30 months of collaboration.<\/span> Built on the Silicon Europe Alliance network, the main <\/span>objective<\/span> of the project was to contribute to strengthening European self-sufficiency in the electronics sector, by improving the competitiveness and strength of its value chain, with <\/span>particular support<\/span> for SMEs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1732199762928{margin-bottom: 40px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1742224558972{margin-bottom: 1.875em !important;}”]<\/p>\n

FINANCING ELECTRONIC INNOVATION<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]A cascade financing system for European SMEs in the electronics sector has been set up through a call for projects. This scheme has supported 12 collaborative projects involving 25 SMEs, the tune of \u20ac80,000 per project, with the aim of facilitating the adoption of e-solutions by SMEs or less digitalised industries.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/b>AKTANTIS member <\/span>EZAKO<\/span><\/b>, in partnership with Spanish company Mion Technologies, have developed the MAISOR project. This project has led to the development of a solution for the identification of counterfeit olive oils in order to combat fraudulent practices. The solution consists of a new sensor concept for volatile analysis based on an innovative analytical instrument powered by Edge-AI implemented in a microelectronic system.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1732199762928{margin-bottom: 40px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1742227138127{margin-bottom: 1.875em !important;}”]<\/p>\n

TRAINING & GREEN TRANSITION<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]The project has offered training courses focusing on the ecological transition and sustainability in the electronics sector to teams from European clusters, enabling them to gain a better understanding of the new issues and problems facing companies in the sector.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In September 2024, the consortium published a comprehensive portfolio of traininf services offered by the Silicon Eurocluster consortium clusters on a variety of topics : Cybersecurity, green transition, Artificial Intelligence, microelectronics, progamming, etc. This initiative aimed at supporting upskilling and reskilling efforts, enabling European SMEs to bridge the critical skills gap they face.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Part of the financial support for SMEs was distributed in the form of \u2018Green vouchers\u2019 through a call for applications. These funding vouchers, worth \u20ac3,600, enabled 25 European SMEs to finance support services for the implementation of green solutions with the help of eligible experts, listed in Silicon Eurocluster\u2019s catalogue of experts in ecological transition. SMEs have benefited from services such as awareness-raising campaigns, training, decarbonisation strategies and other initiatives on the circular economy, waste and resource management and eco-design.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
