AKTANTIS is a partner in the cross-border Digivillae project, funded by the European Interreg ALCOTRA 2021–2027 programme for a period of 30 months. Coordinated by Fondazione Piemonte Innova, the partnership also brings together Unione del Fossanese, ANCI Liguria and Unité des Communes valdôtaines Mont-Rose.
A cross-border cooperation for more innovative territories
Digivillae’s objective is to support small municipalities in the ALCOTRA region with their digital transition and local development strategy. In concrete terms, this involves:
- creating a network of local hubs to promote exchanges, pool skills, and provide access to shared multilingual digital infrastructure.
- developing a digital tool to identify the needs of local stakeholders (citizens, institutions, businesses) and find appropriate solutions
- experimenting innovative digital solutions that address the specific challenges of Alpine regions
In line with the EU’s Macro-Regional Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP), this approach is part of the Smart Village initiative, which aims to foster cohesion, innovation and appeal in cross-border regions.
